QUANTUM COMPUTING AT KPMG IGNITION TOKYO: BRACING FOR ANOTHER QUANTUM REVOLUTION

For this year’s MLT Quantum Talks we welcomed Shungo Miyabe, Senior Researcher at KPMG Ignition Tokyo, for a talk on the potential of quantum computing in industry. With expectations and investment in quantum computing on the rise, we may be on the brink of another quantum revolution that could impact various business sectors, including finance, security, energy, healthcare, and consumer goods. Therefore, it is vital for organizations to gain a solid understanding of the types of problems to be pursued with this technology in order to construct a framework that can seamlessly transform quantum capabilities into concrete business values.

📌 SPEAKER BIO
After completing a PhD at the University of California, Shungo continued his research on theoretical chemical physics at Stanford University and RIKEN. He then gained extensive experience in various industries, including cosmetics, insurance, finance and blockchain, and joined KPMG Ignition Tokyo (KIT) in June 2019. As the head of Smart Transaction Pillar at KIT, he leads research and development employing advanced technologies such as quantum computing.
